Your Radiation Oncologist will see you regularly throughout your radiation treatment to monitor the effect the radiation therapy has on your cancer.
This is a good time to ask your doctor and nurse questions and discuss any problems or concerns you may have. Write a list of concerns and questions ahead of time. Having a family member or friend come with you to the visits can also help. They can listen and take notes or ask questions about your care.
It is very important to keep your doctor or nurse informed of all your medications you currently take and before starting any new prescription medicines or over-the-counter drugs, including herbal remedies and vitamins during your radiation treatment.
